Well some how you have found your way to the only website on the internet dedicated to the work of eighties band The Rose of Avalanche.
Your here because:
- Your a fan of the band or the UK music scene
- Your a keen gardener searching for rose websites
- Your an ice hockey fan and support the Colorado Avalanche
Anyway welcome!
This is the 10th anniversary of the site, and with this landmark I've redesigned the site and added a few new features (like this forum)
It's a struggle to come up with much new material for a band that split up 14 years ago this year (I'm getting old!!), so I don't expect this board to be the busiest on the internet.....
However some 15,000 people have stopped by in the past decade and fans have made contact from literally all corners of the globe, so you never know!
This forum is for you the fans to leave your memories, hopefully give me some material I can share with the rest of the world, even leave messages and questions for ex Rose members.
Anyway have fun,

| I used to go and see the band as much as i could in the 80's. Me and a few friends used to spend ages tearing up bits of paper to confetti the band with. ive got great memories of those days. Would love to see them again. |

Nice to know that someone else out there still remembers this band.....lol. I just checked out one of the videos - those clothes look so naf now but when we were young. Those were the days.
I can remember going to see the band many times - every time they played in the midlands - I often wasn't interested in the main feature.
I rate the band along side my other faves - Sisters of Mercy, Balaam and the Angel (lived about 3 miles from me and I met Mark Morris often in Aldridge as youngster) and The Cult (Southern & Death variations).
I have all the early RoA stuff on vinyl - but I suspect that now they won't play as they've been stored in my dad's cellar since I left home.
Good site.

As I said before, great site James. It's been so long since the Rose were a active band that it's great to find a place where Rose fans can congregate. I personally think there's a lot of Rose fans still out there - they just need to be reminded!
